electricity is shutting off.

it looks like my apartment is scheduled to have the electricity turned off on 9-18 and i am more than a bit ticked off. i enrolled with the electricity company already and they said they could have it up by 9-22 and i asked if they could just keep it on since i've already paid the $200.00 deposit, but they said the order for cutting my electricity for the 18th already went through. so, i am just worried for my tank, what should i do? i've already thought about buying a long power cord and asking my neighbors if i could use their power for a couple of days, but they've yet to give me an answer..SO, i know there's battery powered pumps out there, but is there anything else i could do to keep my tank running for a couple of days?

Is it just the 3g tank, or do you have something larger? I bet you can take it to work with you, or maybe someone nearby you can take it in for a while.

3g shouldn't be that hard to worry about. If you have a larger tank. Yes well I would hope the neighbors let you borrow power for a short time.

yep, just the tiny 3g tank. i don't work anymore now that college has started..and i don't know anyone in this area that could take my tank. i'd much rather go and find a battery operated pump. does anybody think that the pump can suffice for a couple of days?

thanks jaguar, i really appreciate it. i went out and bought an air pump from petsmart (no one else was open at the time). it was a whopping $14.99, haha, but i guess it'll do. to make things worse, i broke my cell phone today!
another point, should i buy another pump for my fuge also?

Acadamy sports carries the battery powered bubblers for like 10 bucks in their fishing section for use with live bait. I would get one for the fuge as well or at least Tee off of the existing pump.

Talk to your apartment manager. I was in the same situation once and they left it on and gave me the bill, I just paid the aparmtents for the week of elec.
