Eggs on glass - Who's are they??

One of these popped up the other night and I didn't really think much of it. Today I found 3 more of them and now I am curious.

These are a little bit smaller than a "BB" and clear. Have you seen them before?

Yup... That prolly started from the algae you got from me, those appear to be IPSF's "Strombus Grazer" eggs...

(Although Dr. Shimek says they're actually a columbellid snail in the genus Euplica or Pyrene)

Good lil' snails that hatch fully formed, but tiny. Take around 20-30 days to hatch if I recall, and you'll get teeny tiny little snails roving around.

That's it!!

After I put the algae in the fuge I left the bucket sitting there. The next morning I saw a little snail near the edge of the water in the bucket so I threw it into the tank. Apparently she made the trip ok and is feeling pretty good. :)

Thanks for the info. :)

Right.. euplica versicolor or pyrene versicolor. Snail experts are currently considering changing the taxonomic tree near these little guys, so it may or may not lead to them being reclassified.
