Eco-Aqualizer?

I came across an ad for this thing in this month's edition of Tropical Fish Hobbyist. It is a device that supposidly ionizes water, reduces water changes by up to 75%, reduces green algae growth, stabilizes pH and increases ORP and a whole slew of other stuff.. I'm extremely skeptical (sounds like a Marc Weiss product :p ), so I thought I would see if anybody here has any experience with this device in a marine/reef tank.

"Is ECO-Aqualizer completely Guaranteed? Risk-Free? YES. We offer an industry first in completely guaranteeing our product 100% for a full 6 months (180 days). If not completely satisfied, we refund the entire product cost including shipping. We are proud to say that we are the only company on the internet that refunds shipping. That's confidence in product performance."

I might just have to try one of these with my tank. If there is not 100% satisfaction they buy it back and if it kills anything you can bet your bottom follar they will buy it back too! This would be one of those things that go last on my equipment list though.

Don't waste your time. All this thing is is a series of magnets with tubing going through the center. Passing water through a magnet is supposed to fix all your tank suffers from?

This thing came out 4 years ago, and people have cut them in half and done their best to prove it one way or another. The debates are over, the jury has decided, and our money is still in our wallets.

Oh, come on Marc, don't hold back! Tell us how you REALLY feel!!!

My general rule of thumb, is any new or newish product (I.E. Hasn't been WELL proven by multiple hobbyists) that claims to completely fix more than two things is snake oil, and has to work HARD to prove otherwise to me...

(And yeah, the description of that gadget did sound like a Weiss product to me too!)

I thought about pulling a few punches, but decided to just hit Submit as is. The Eco Aqualizer has been discussed many times in the past.
