But...

The two blue torts look happy in my tank, even though they are tiny. The first one was being approached by a green frilly mushroom that I peeled out of the tank today.

The second one is doing very well and looks pretty to the eye, but to my camera it is very little to talk about.

You're right. I'll just roll them around in dinoflagellates and call it a day.

Btw, I still want to get that Tyree from you.

OK I admit to being new, under a year of having my own tank even though I studied them and longed for one a long time before that, what in the (blank) is a 'dinoflagellates'??? Sounds too much like dino gas, so you have to clarify for me. In my fossil world (I'm the editor for a gem and mineral club) we call dino poo 'Coprolite'. So please don't tell me we are talking about the same thing. Help!

The Torts look cool though!

Off topic but for your reading pleasure. The name is Dinoflagellate is one for a whole group of algae as you will see in the link below. They are referring to the real nuisance one that can be a real problem in our tanks.

Alright guys, I just had to laugh, and still do every time I read the name of them. Thank you for educating me, I am sorely lacking reef wise. However, every time I go to an auction or the annual show of the Tyler Gem & Mineral Society and I see people clammering for their own piece of Coprolite, and those that are amazed to be holding a fossilized piece of 'dino poo', I will have to laugh at how I thought that 'Dinoflagellates' were something y'all made up and just had to be closely related.

And on topic, the torts are still lovely.

OMG - I've kept both pieces for over 9 months! S;pw growth to be sure, but alive and looking pretty.
