Do you prune the hedges?

So I kind of let the tank go unchecked and now I have this basketball size tri-color in my tank. I look at pictures on the web and see what looks like well manicured tanks. So my question is do you prune on a regular basis to keep your SPS growth in check?

Thinking of maybe changing from 10K to 20K next time so hopefully some things won't go so fast.
 
Yep! Trim it up. If it grew in your tank, cut it back and sell it. That's what tomorrow is all about - plus the social picnic event and speaker...

You have to keep it in check. Lighting and flow needs of a coral will change as it grows and the lighting and flow in our tanks is very constant (hopefully). So trimming it back will keep it growing well and healthy.
