Well guy some of yoou may know that I recently sold my 210 and decided to down grade. Yea, I said down grade. While everyone is looking to upgrade. Well I went smaller and decided on the 140 by Oceanic. I have not bought it yet, waiting to finish the Stand and Canopy. Well now I'm about there. I want to update you guys on my progress and see what ya think. The tank is 48X24X29 and the tank will sit at 37 inches high. I would have went higher but 29 inches deep will be tough enough.

I'll just post all the pictures of my progress from start to where I'm at now

What ya think?

One question should I put a center brace in the front? If I do I'm going to make it removeable with pocket screws.

Great looking! Looks far better than my store bought hood/cap, that's for sure!

(Oh yeah, and I corrected the typo in the subject. I can't help it, my mom was an English teacher! :) )

just noticed and just a thought...but would you conside taking off that top piece going across the back? It would seem to me it would block a lot of heat from escaping the cap.
Apoligize if there is something else for this, I just saw that thouht I'd toss it out there.

It is very beutiful.

The Setup looks Great. Cant wait to see it stained with Tank and Sump installed.
Steve as far as venting, there's all sorts of creative means to vent heat

Thanks for the replies, as far the air escaping. A vent hole will be place at the top of the canopy with fan pulling hot air out. Shouldn't be a problem plus I'll have a third hp chiller keeping the temperture down.

Right now it has cost a little over $400 dollars to build it. The molding is about $200 itself. I'll be taking my time setting it up, I have no need to rush, I've been in the hobby a long time so I'm more patient than I used to be. I need to go by a stock tank to place my live rock.
