Diy overflow box

[Hi all,

I have absolutely no experience with working with acrylic and need some help in building a overflow box for my 18gal tank. I am having a major problem with water level protien build up. I have a CPR bak Pak 2 that does a great job of skimming, but the water level is my problem. Anyone have a bak pak they have modded and added an overflow to? Drawings.... ideas... any information would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!!]
 
[I don't know that I understand what you are wanting to build. Do you want an actual overflow box, to get water out of your 18g and down to a sump? Or do you want a surface-skimming box for your CPR skimmer?
