DIY led help

Hello, I'm attempting to do a DIY led build for my 175 gal. Bow front. I have purchased a 70" x 8" heatsink. Total of 96 Cree led's (32RB,32CW,96Blue), 8 mean well 60-48d drivers, and 4 10k potentiometers. As well as all other misc. items. I'm ready to put this thing together and I do understand how to dial in the pots to correct mah. The issue I have is that I would like to avoid having 8 power cords and 8 10 volt /1 amp. Transformers powering all this. I already have a tangled mess of cords running everything else. I would imagine that this is the part I'm not understanding. My question is can I at least tie two 60-48's AC wires together and cut my power cordage in half to four. I can't see where it would matter, especially if you consider all of the plugs would probably go into one multi connect power strip into one wall outlet? Another issue is on wiring the pots to the 10 volt transformers. Is it really nessasary to have several transformers because I would like to have this thing basically broken down to four sections and controlled by four pots. I've looked for schematics everywhere but found nothing on this many led's, usually just a parallel of 12 or 24 lights and that's it. If anyone can help with some advise I would be greatful thanks

This months meeting is all about DIY and more specifically about leds.

To answer your question about the power cords yes you can combine multiple drivers on 1 cord. I personally would not do more than 3 maybe 4. As for the pots....I ran 2 strings off 1 adapter I know others have run as many as 4 or more so yes you should in theory be able to do that just splice all the wires into one and hook it up. Lmk if there is anything else I can help with. I hope you can make it to the meeting.

Hi,
I built this to handle my driver and wiring headaches. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk3/bimmerzs/bimmerzs2/_DSC5800.jpg
I have the two terminal blocks at the top that will have one power cord powering all of the drivers. If you get like a 10V 2Amp(total amperage determined by adding the combined amperage rating of the "transformers") power supply, you can eliminate multiple power sources.

Cheers,
