Check out the above post. I started it because I have been going through this for 3.5 months now. I REALLY hope you have better luck at getting them under control than I have.

I am not anywhere near you, but some LFS close by should have some ROWaphos or similar.

Please keep me informed as to the treatment you use and the results. I will do the same.

Good Luck,

i ordered from bulkreef supply and prices are great and i got my gfo filters and resin in about 3 days. not a bad turn around. Shipping is very reasonable.

ok tests so far

phosphate 1,0mg/l
nitrite 0 mg/l
ph 8.3
NO3 3mg/l
amonia 0mg/l

so what wrong with this pic??? dinos are spreading, wellso is dying, plate coral dying....

you have nitrates and phosphates. IMHO that is the problem. I know that phosphates were adding to my problems but yet i couldnt detect them.

So... what is your salinity? How is it determined?
What temp?
What kind of lighting?
What kind of flow?
What is your light schedule?

What is your alk? What is your ca? What is your Mg?

havent tested alk. temp is 80, and calcium is 430, havent tested alk, if alk was off wouldnt Ph be off too. flow is medium and

Normally yes.. but many people keep their alk around 7 or 8 with and have higher pH. If I kept mine at 7 or 8, mine would be borderline 8.0 at its lowest point.

You didn't answer the others questions though. No one is going to be able to give you a single bullet answer or help without the full picture.

What you have described thus far are symptoms... a photo of the patches would help too since it could be something other than dinos.

I kicked dinos by getting and keeping my alk in double digits. Not 100% sure that was what did it, but I saw they ebb and flow with the alk levels, then they disappeared.

try this stuff has worked for me and a couple other people on the board. There are mixed reviews though. I followed the dosing and had no issues. would use it again if i had to.
