Dimmable Coralvue ballasts?

I am debating between the regualr 400W electronic coralvue ballast and the "dimmable" version. Just the fact that I have never used dimmable ballasts kind of scares me. Anyone have any experience with them or know anything about them?

Heres a link to the ballasts. They are the red 400W ones at the bottom.

Also, would you go with Reeflux 10K's or Reeflux 12K's? Or neither?

Thanks

Angela,
I have one of the icecap dimmable 400's and I have only used the feature 1 time. It really didn't seem to make a lot of difference and it supposedly won't start (from what icecap said) if it's left on the 'dimmed' setting. I have no idea if the Coralvue is similiar or not in that regard. JME

I think Im going to get the regular one for safety. How long have you had the icecap? I might get that instead. Mainly because of their reputation (and it's kind of pretty too).

Thanks

Angela,
We've had the IceCap 250-400 adjustable pendants, 250 and 400 ballasts, and ballast containers about 1 1/2 yrs but only in use about 1/2 yr. I like them though and you just can't beat IceCap service for warranty *and* repair work. HTH
