diatom bloom help?

so after 3-4 day my whole tank is cover with diatom here a pic. i need to put all the livestock i have from the 50g holding tank to this tank by next thursday anyone have any ideas of what i should do? do i need to do a big water change and siphon it all out?

give it some time to settle and test the water to make sure everything is OK. when you move sand a rock you stir up stuff in the tank and sometime it create a cycle. so its best to give it some time and test often. make sure you have no ammonia and you nitrates and phosphates are OK. I assume you used your old rock and sand?

yea the rock is from the tank when can i add back the livestock i have? i really need to get things going by next week cus i gotta wedding next week and need the house to be clean

so i decided to build a new stand for my 120g. after building the stand i put all my livestock into a 50g holding tank. the 50g is all the water i saved. so how do you guys think i should move my livestock in now? the tank is filled with new saltwater and all i have from my tank before the moved is 50g of water. Thats a pic of my stand and tank i just build said:
How "mature" is the rock in the 120? I.E. where did it come from. Is there rock in the 50 gallon?

I agree it's better to wait to see if you have a cycle before you put your ls back in. I did a tank change and had heard that you could just go from one tank to another. Now I'm without a Sherman rose nem and some montis that I deeply loved due to a cycle. Make sure you have completely cycled before you put your stuff in!!!

The tank in all probablity will not cycle as you have established live rock with an appropriate population of autotrophic bacteria. You have more of a chance of cycling in the 50 gallon unless there is established rock in there. The only likely cycle you'll experience is possibly a diatom bloom. If you can keep large amounts of water on hand for a water change if necessary, you'll be fine. If your tank cycles you'll lose 90% of your live stock and not likely selective organsims IMO/IME.
