I have always had planted freshwater tanks. i recently bought a tank for saltwater but I am not sure what a sump or refugium should look like or which is better. The 55 gal tank is drilled thru back glass for a 1" bulkhead. I have a 30 gallon acrylic tank that I might be able to use for sump/refugium. I am looking for diagrams possibly to help me understand what and how I need to set this up. Any help please!
