Desending Progress

I took some pic's of my tank today and while saving them I started comparing the old with the new. Needless to say it wasn't very thrilling because it seems like the overall look of my tank lacks appeal these days. What do you guys think? (Mostly SPS or the Mixed with soft corals)

It is kind of hard to judge since the corals move around in the images. I know you suffered some RTN which creates some smaller colonies now, vs what you had 6 months ago.

Still a pretty tank. Do you feed a lot?

Last month when I added more fish I started feeding more. Usually 1 sheet of nori and a cube of mysis a day.

I'm really trying to figure out how my next tank is going to be setup. I'm getting married in October and will take this tank down to move it. I plan on setting up a new one, but I'm just not sure about having a SPS dominated tank. :?

That is a lot of nori. I have two tangs and other fish, and I'm feeding 1/2 sheet or less, every two or three days. I do feed them well at 9pm with mysis, bloodworms and cyclopeeze, since I'm out of home-made mix. I need to get to the asian market and get more goodies.

I too like the newest best...

Of course, I'm finding myself slowly becoming an SPS Bigot, so there's that, plus the newest has room for growth...

I like your Oct 2006 picture best but only because the current one is missing something in the top left corner. But I agree with everyone that the tank looks great.

Thanks for the comments... Do you guys with Tangs feed nori? If so how often and how much?

I have never had a spec of algae in my tank and sometimes get worried the Tangs will have lack of nutrients if I don't feed enough nori.

I probably overfeed, but I feed 2-3 sheets of Nori every 2-3 days on average...

I've got 3 Tangs, 1 Foxface Lo, and 1 Cleaner Wrasse that never got the memo that Cleaner Wrasses are 'sposed to be carnivores (He goes berserk for Nori!)

I took a different angle shot to compare and I'm thinking maybe it just the dark coral colors. I really don't have any that stand out and give that colorfull SPS look. Plus my aquascaping is starting make all the corals bunch together in the middle. Hmm...

have you thought about adding an A. Valida or perhaps a purple monti cap. It seems to me that a vibrant purple would really bring out the other colors.
