DAS EX-1 Recirc Needlewheel (56K go skimmerless)

Inspired by Bill's thread on his Otopus (viewtopic.php?t=22061) , I thought I would post some pics of the new skimmer I just got, a DAS EX-1. My tank isn't up and running yet (best laid plans of mice and men) but I'll keep updating it as it goes. If anyone else has a DAS skimmer and want's to chime in, I know there are a few of you out there.


This thing beats the pants off of the Remora I had. Now if it just fit in my sump....

I think you will like that skimmer, I got the x2 because they were having a grand opening sale and the price was just to good. Be sure to run it in some vinegar water for a day before you put it on the tank it will start working allot sooner

Nathan,

Just remember to clear the airline when you enpty the cup. Otherwise you lose a lot of the bubbles.

I have 2 EX-2's The clear chamber looks like white PVC when it is working right.
 
Glad to hear that you guys are so happy with your skimmers. Now if I could just get it together and get mine running.... :roll:
