critique my gate valve mod

I am wanting to put a gate valve mod on this skimmer to set the water level easier. Here it is mocked up. Does anyone seen any problems or things i should change before i glue it all up?

That looks fine to me. I'm guessing you keep the water level right at the black acrylic at the top of the main reaction chamber?

You might make a lid for the riser vent pipe, and drill a small hole to let it breathe. That will help it run quietly.

I am planning on trying to keep the water level right where you were talking about. Once its up and running ill post some pics

No you didn't. You stole it from Euro-reef, as that is the Gete-Valve Mod kit, available on Premium Aquatics. :wink:
 
well in that case i dont feel so bad... lol


man i feel like an idiot, i knew i had a short piece of 1" , i was looking for it so that i could extend the elbow that is attached to the tee. I couldnt find that piece of PVC, Just looked at the pic i posted, and guess what.. its still sitting right there.. i feel like a goof :)
