cracked center support

we had a small crack in the center support of the tank that we just heavily siliconed up. its been almost a year ago this was done. tank has been up and running since. however, recently i've noticed its cracked quite a bit more. before we have a major problem, is it possible to just get another piece of glass cut and adhere it above the cracked one? perhaps that would suffice at supporting the center. or are we really going to have to break the entire tank down and drain it to fix this? the crack is very concerning to me now. what have others done in this situation? thanks for the advice.

I think what most people do is buy a peice of glass cut to fit between the front and back panels, and silicone it in place.

You will have to drain the tank as you don't want it to bow when you place the new piece of glass in there

i was kinda afraid of that. was hoping there was a quick fix without disturbing the corals and such too much. :( said:
