[I just got some xenia from "unit00000" and my hermet crabs are biting at it. After seeing the way the crabs take over the tank is there any where specific to put the xenia to keep them from getting to it??]

[Ok, crabs are pissing me off.. they keep knocking over the small rock it's on and eating part of it.

I thought corals were supposed to be poisonous?!? This one isn't poisonous enough!

What should I do??]

[I've not known any hermit crabs to eat Xenia, but they do like super glue gel. Keep an eye on things, maybe move the hermits away physically.]

[Haha, if they keep doing this i'd be glad to trade :).

I am correct that all corals are poisonous right???]

[i had the same problem here. blue legged hermits or emerald (or maybe the snails) . I added a cleanup crew from the group buy last month and within a couple days most of my xenia was eaten. :taz:
It was only a few small stalks that I got from the for sale board. 2 tiny bits are hanging on for dear life and haven't been touched lately. We'll see what happens :O]

[Yeah, i have the hermets that are pretty big with green and white stripes on their legs. I keep hearing that they are the worst about destroying stuff. I may trade them in for more scarlet legs. They don't seem to be nearly as destructive.]
