Cpu fan power supply questions - Too much amps equals?

[The only problem that may come up is most electronics have what is called a start up surge which is higher than the nominal amp rating. This means when the fans first power up they draw more current than when they are at full speed and running normally. This surge usually is in the millisecond range so it may not be an issue.

I noticed an 800 MA 12V adapter on that link, go with it and you will have no problems

[the basic rule of thumb is 1.5 x running amp (usually come into play on bigger stuff but I would expect same rule applies on little stuff too)

so 480mA x 1.5 = 720mA

I would agree with mike, go with the 800mA one]

[thanks for the input guys. i did a little test to see how cool the water would get. i wired one fan i had laying around think it was a 120mm .56ma i have it runing on a 12v 1amp. the water temp does not rise over 82.before the fan i was around 85+]
