Coraline growth in Nano more than display?

My coraline is spreading well in my 12G nano. I don't change the water as much as I should either.

Now in my main display where I've poured in about half the bottle of purple up it hasn't changed. Both have established rocks with coraline coverage on it.

What gives? Is it the actinic lighting in the nano versus just the MH and white VHOs in the display? Calcium and ALK levels are fine int eh display.

Yea I've heard about MHs and the effect on coraline, but I have 175W SE and they're 15ks.

A Nano has less surface area so it could just look like more, but it's probably the lighting.

Are you talking about growth on the rocks or the glass? I only ask becasue IME the stuff grows alot faster on acrylic than glass.

I thought my Nano was made out of glass, but don't quote me on that.

But it grows everywhere in the nano. Most noticeably on tonga branch and the glass/back wall.
