Coraline algae

[what does coraline algae look like as it grow on your rocks??? i've seen them grow on glass which looks like spots..do they grow the same on rocks??

i've been noticing these red/maroon or brown freckle like growth on my rocks..jsut wondering if it is coraline. Also on my powerhead there were some..i tried to scrape it off to see if its hard or soft but it did not come off..what do you guys think??]
 
[well so far no livestock has been affected but i dont think any of my corals will survive..soo strange, just within minutes of maintance you can tell the corals were not doing well..it was jsut bad judgement on my part..i will probably have to be more careful what i use or put inside the tank next time..but THANKS for all the HELP..i would of probably jsut sat there and wait until everything die off one by one]

but thnks Marc..yea i can recognize those coraline but that is the mature stage of its growth..]
