CORALIFE Deluxe Series DBL lInear Strip

I Have 2 question I purchase the above mention at Petco for $209, Is this a good deal or should I look elsewhere? I have fish only with live rock but plan to add other stuff

2nd I has a smaller Coralife that was produing a bunch of heat, raised my temp at least 15 degree and killed my pulsing Xenia ( fish are still doing great and I got water temp back to normal), is it worth trying to fix or should I just trashed it? Thanks in advance doe any advised and answer to y questions

BTW I have a 55 gal tank

Naw, jk. I assume you have the 48" model for your 55 gal. The specs show that it has:

Coralife 48 Inch Aqualight With 2-65W Actinic / 2-65W 10,000K Lamp Straight Pin Base (with fans).

I know Corallife is not the best of brands but you seem to have a serviceable amount of light. Like 4.7 watts/gal.

See if you can keep it cool enough (fans) as it looks like it mounts down tight to the water level.

Thx Corwin, I did notice it does put out a good amount of heat, I have no way to raise it, any ideas on that or I guess Ill just have to replenish with water more often, Thanks again, and it does look much better than befoe with more light
 
the fixture doesnt have the option of adding legs to it i know my old coralife fixture for my 55 had that option
that help a little bit with the heat
