Coral-hating Clown - keeps attacking my frags

I put in an Anemone for my Clowns a couple days ago, and now the Clowns (probably just the large female) are shoving around all my frags. As if they are invading her territory.

Is this normal?

Yep... This is one of the reasons I setup a dedicated tank for my anemone's/clowns... My mated Clarkii female took to not only moving, but actually biting limbs off frags and spitting 'em out in the rockwork somewhere else...

Sounds great!

Guess I will just have to start glueing them to the rock work rather than setting the discs loosely on top. And hope she doesn't take to biting them!

Thanks.

This has been so frustrating for me. I love my clowns, but they are a real pain in the rear. I just moved a nice big colony of orange montipora digitata the other day. My clowns didnt like it very much, and decided to move it too, only bad thing is they decided to move it directly on top of their anemone! I didnt catch it in time, and it has now RTN'd and is bleached white. What an A$$ whip!

I bought a purple digitata from BigSteve at one of the meetings. It has been moved around my tank so much I don't know if it will ever be happy.

I thought I found he perfect spot. Only a few hours later I came in and my GSM was carrying it away in her mouth. There is one spot in the tank that I can not put anything. If I do it is sure to be moved.

Clowns sure are pretty and enjoyable to have, but when the SPS bug hits, it can be a pita.

I had this same problem when I had a GSM in my tank. I think it has something to do with sitelines. The clownfish likes to have a clear view from its anemone. If you block their view they will move it. My anemone was at the top of the rockwork so I could not put anything up high within about 18" of the anemone.
