Coral banded shrimp

I got a coral banded shrimp about a month ago and have not seen it since. After the first day I noticed where it had molted it's front half and then the same day on the other side of the tank I noticed what looked like the back half of the shrimp. I'm not sure if this was the other half from the molting or if it died. I have not seen it since so I'm not sure if it is in hiding or just dead? Also I have a peppermint shrimp in the tank as well that I thought had died until I added the coral banded and then he reappeared and is back out all of the time now. I've checked at night and have not seen it out at night either. Does anyone have experience with coral banded shrimp and do you think it is in hiding or just dead?

Mine molts like twice a month. I can always see his long tentacles hiding in the rocks after the molt. And I too have a peppermint in the tank, but that's usually the one that hides from me! I would have to say if you can't see the tentacles it's probably not there. Mine also always comes out when it's feeding time.
 
Mine hides all the time during the day or when the lights are on but it does come out after lights out to look for food. I've thought my peppermint died because it has a perfect cave to hide in that you cannot really see into but found it out and about one night as well about a month later!
 
Thanks...I am beginning to think that it is dead as well. It was a very large CBS when I got it so I was excited to get him.

Maybe it will show up at some point cuz I like the way they look.
