Consistent bubbles on rock and sand

Recently my LR and LS have formed a lot of bubbles on the surface... are these microbubbles? [smilie=thinking.gif]

Any suggestions how to eliminate them?

thx

Increasing flow (alot) would help.

It looks like cyano-ish. If so, you'll probably end up siphoning a lot until you get your nutrients under control. If it's not cyano, but rather a diatom film, then snails would be a good choice. Especially Stomatella varia, IMO. But if this is a young tank, I'd just hold off and see where things settle in a few weeks/months.

The bubbles are thought to be oxygen--the result of the photosynthetic activity of whatever organism you have there.
