Conch question...

[echristiansen08]

So I was looking at my conch today and noticed a lighter color shell on the end of him and he seemed to be bigger. Do their shells grow? I hope this isn't a dumb question.

Thanks,
Em

Yes, they grow the shell larger just like a snail. My impression is that growth occurs while they are submerged in the sand for a duration.
