Compressor failure on AC

After replacing the capacitor on the AC yesterday, the compressor burned out today. It will prob be a day or two before I can get a new unit in. Does anyone in the Frisco/Plano/Little Elm area have a chiller I can borrow for a couple of days? The tank is 150g and is at about 88deg right now. I have a 9k BTU AC unit blowing on the aquarium but it isn't getting the job done. I'll prob either need a 1/2 hp or two 1/4 hp to keep it cool as the downstairs is sitting at about 95 deg right now. Please call me at 214-557-9300 (my cell but the battery is almost dead) or 214-577-1774 (my wife's cell number).

Thanks in advance.

Get so frozen pea or vegetables in bags and put that whole bag in a ziplock bag and floatnthem in the tank or sump.
put a fan blowing across the top of the tank for evaporated. Cooling .

Its late so I just sent a text instead of calling. I have a 1/2 chiller you can borrow tonight if you pick it up before midnight, or after 9:00 AM tomorrow.
I also have an 11,000 BTU spot cooler but it seems like you already have one in place so I don't know what two will do unless you can figure out the exhaust or have two windows or whatever. You can call my cell if you want 972 3 too two 4284

Yep, took me a mn to do the conversion but 80 deg is about right for now. I may bump it a bit lower tomorrow but going to leave it at that for tonight.

Terrible time to be without a/c. Sorry to hear it broke down on you.

I've had 2 AC guys out and it is definitely the condenser and the fan on the outer unit. :(

@vrba, hope everything works out for your AC and again I really appreciate you letting me use the window units.

Wow - that was a long time to endure this heat. :(

The only "good" thing is that I spent almost half of that time in the hospital, first with my wife, then with one of my daughters. Hopefully life is now getting back to normal.
