Coarls dying? any advice?

[Hey All I have 2 each Kenya Tree Corals that are withered and slumped over. All the other Corals in the tank are doing fine. Any Ideas as to what I can do? Ive included a Pic of what they looked like about a week ago and what they look like now. Here my water parameters I tested just an hour a go.

PH : 8.2
Alk : 4 meq/L
Temp : 79
Cal : 400
Nitrates : 0
Nitrites : 0
Ammonia : 0

Any advice is appreciated!

[Kenya trees are in the leather family, and do tend to close up for a few days to open up even larger than before.

However, I noticed that you've moved it from its former location where it was happy. Flow has changed, lighting has changed (somewhat), and possibly your Alk is a tad too high compared to what it was two weeks ago. What was and is your salinity?]

[Hey marc thanks for the reply. Yes I did move them about 2 weeks ago from heavy flow area to the far corners of the tank where there is less flow . I thought they were getting beat down by the current and was unsure if they were going to able to handle it.The single one has never been moved , but the pair mounted on the same rock was moved as I said about 2 weeks ago. They were fine until yesterday when they never opened up in the morning. I run my actinics from 9 am - 9pm , my 10k whites I run from 10 am - 8 pm followed by 4 each 375nm Moonlights till about 7 am.The Sal has remained the same at 1.024 and hardly ever changes , I try to match it exactly during every water change. I guess Ill just wait a few more days and see how they do, maybe i'm just freaking out for nothing. All the other corals are doing fine, its probably just me. Thanks again!

[Leathers when dyings polyp slowly shrink as it begins to eat itself. Simple drooping is not a real sign of anything. I've never had a Kenya Tree but my understanding is that they are not hardy??? I think Marc, would know this better and probably has the best advise... but, I think moving them might have been a good idea and the may be healing but...just my .02]

[Quite the opposite, Kenya trees are very hardy, and drop frags on their own all the time. Mine is a frag, and if it wasn't for all my red mushrooms poisoning my own, it would be a tree finally.

For now it remains a cute bush in my 29g.]

[What else is in the tank? Check it about 4 hours after the lights go out when you can, and see if any LPS may be stinging the crap out of it at night when your not looking. Hammers, Brains etc can have tenticles that can strech across a tank.]

[thx for the replys all! As of this morning after the lights kicked on they are both semi drooped over. The single Kenya Tree has shown some improvement and opened slightly, maybe 10%. The double stalk One is still closed completely.I just thought of something, last week after I came home from work I noticed an Astrea Snail Behind my rocks on its Back.I ran my hands through tap water before I put them in the tank.I rescued the little fellow and all was normal. That morning I noticed my AquaC was almost full and there was some film on the top of my water - its still there but not as bad. Then the lightbulb went on as I remember . Just before I left work I put hand lotion on , I doubt I got it all off when I quickly rinsed my hands under the faucet.I wonder if this could have caused it. I dont have a sump yet so theres nothing to skim the top of my water off.I do have 2 maxijet 1200s pointed towards the top so its blowing the film on the top of the water around. Just a thought :very sad:
