clowns

How many clowns can be in a 90 gallon usually. I have a pair of clowns and a saddle back clown. Their are enough anemones in the tank for all but the saddleback is trying to claim everything to himself. He rotates from anemone to anemone to a large leather throughtout the day running out the other clowns... I noticed this morning my female clown in the finger leather and the male clown in the top back corner of the tank....I know this is very bad sign. He is not beat up but I'm sure that means he is stressed. That's making me think the saddleback may need a new home.... I hate for someone to go but don't want all this aggresion going on and one of them to kill the other... I've had them all a long time but they are not liking this new smaller arrangement move from the 150 to the 90 gallon apparently....

A pic of my male clown in the upper righthand corner of the tank....

The saddleback is showing signs of the war to take all and the other clowns don't look to beat up yet but I know their has to be much stress among them all now.... Looks like I will be forced to make someone move sadly....

from what i know clowns are very territorial. im guessing you have false percs thats what they look like and the saddle back. Since you have 3 clowns in there the odd man out is going to fight the the others for territory i would take the saddleback out or the two false percs its usally not good to put two different types of clowns together.

I believe saddle backs tend to be more aggressive then perc.s Similar to skunks, GSMs, etc., they can get quite aggressive and much larger.

Depending on what you plan to add in the future, what you already have in the tank, and/or whether you are planning a more peaceful community or more aggressive one, will be the deciding factor.

Peaceful - I'd keep the percs
More aggressive - Keep the saddle back
