Clownfish may be blind

Does anyone know of the possiblity of fish going blind. For the past two days my maroon clown has only stayed in one of the two anemones in the tank. She usually prefers the other anemone so I thought this was strange. Today when I fed the fish the clownfish did not leave the anemone at all. Usually she is a bold feeder and swims the length of the tank to get food. She is also agressive and defends her anemones but I can put my hand right next to her and she does not attack or seem to notice it.

I have had her since March 2003 and she was probably an ORA fish so I would guess she is 3 years old at the most.

I tested my water today and it is as follows:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 2
pH 8.27
temp 79
Alk 5
Calcium 350
SG 1.026
Phosphate 0
Magnesium 1250

All other fish and inverts in the tank seem fine. Two nights ago a power head came unsuctions and displaced some sand but did not cause a major sand storm. When the powerhead came loose it caused some of the electrical tape I use to hold the powerhead cord in place to come loose and fall in the aquarium, but this has happened before. The only other thing that may be considered out of the ordinary was about 5 days ago I feed the anemones silversides and they reacted stangely and shrived up very small.

I have started running carbon and I plan to do a water change tomorrow.

Any other suggestions.

I had a green Chromis go blind once. I could tell because i could catch him with a net. he never saw it coming. I put him in the refugium for awhile (for his own safty) but he didn't last to long.
