[My gold bar clown died yesterday and I can't figure out what happened. Over the past 3 weeks, he managed to take a water slide down into the sump, but he was rescued both times with no apparant ill effects.
On Thursday he ate like a pig, then Friday afternoon he breathing was labored. By Friday evening, he was swimming sideways right at the surface then would fall to the sand, only to swim up to the surface.
He managed to swim by a powerhead and get sucked against the screen and couldn't move. I decided to get him out of the tank and put him in a ziplock in the freezer. I've read where this is a humane way to go. In all actuality, he was dead witn 5 min of being removed from the tank.
Two days before his death, he had started hosting in a green open brain. Being stupid, could this have led to any issues?]
