Cloudy Tank

I just added 120lbs of aragonite to a new set up yesterday. I washed the sand out as best as i could before placing on the bottom but it still made the tank vary cloudy. I turned off the pumps to give it a chance to settle, but that it not helping. Not sure what else to do.

You'll just have to wait it out. It will settle down all in good time. You could try throwing some filter floss in your sump to see if you can catch some of the sand particles.

I would try to run as few as possible. The move water movement the move that soup will be stirred up. I think you just need to be patient and it should settle on it own after all it's was yesterday when you added the sand.

it took me ~36 hrs for the milky madness to clear out. Currently, I'm in the 12 hours of my 4th milky madness because I cant stop rearranging the rocks.

The sooner you add LR to the tank, the less long it takes for the cloudiness to clear up. I've read that some tanks clear up in 8 hours, with enough LR.
