Cleaning used pumps?

I'm picking up a couple used pumps but don't plan on using them right away. What do y'all recommend for cleaning them prior to storage.

run em in a bucket 50/50 with vinegar / water.

Depending on how dirty they are, you might want to take them apart and clean the impeller (spining part) as well. Especially if you just bought them.
