Michelle,

I wouldn't think Citron Gobies would even notice a peppermint shrimp, but they do sometimes decide they like to eat SPS coral polyps. I've never had the smaller green ones do that, but I had black one (looks just like the picture you attached except black with blue lines) that decided it only liked Acros...an expensive food source.

Hope that helps.

Matt

michelle,

i have one in my tank for a long time now (actually always thought it was a clown goby until now), and my tank is over-run with Peppermint Shrimp.

i don't think you have much to worry about.

Michelle,
We have 5 different colors/types of the Gobiodon gobies - Citrinis (Citron), Yellow Clown, Black Clown, Green Clown and a Red/Black Clown that has yet been unidentified. We also have a large amount of peppermints and I've never seen any of the gobies even the slightest bit interested in the peps. For all of them but the larger Citrinis goby, I'd be more worried about a hungry pack of peppermints grabbing them. lol :? . HTH

Yeah, what they said. I've had a green citron goby in my tank for months, along with a peppermint shrimp and have never had any problems!
