which chillers are the best for the $$$$$$$$ at the70 to 120 gal range and wich one works best? the in line or drop in?
 
In line are always better...it would be like having a block ice in your living room to cool the room versus have an ac unit.

I would do everything in my power to try to cool the tank without it if possible. They aren't cheap and a lot of people can keep the tank where it needs to be without one if they put some air movement in the canopy or stand. You may be able to save some money.

I have a Teco but there a lot of choices out there.
 
I am using the JBJ Artic Chiller 1/10hp for my 90 gallon. Works great. I picked up one used at DNA for $260. It is inline. Good Luck!
