I am looking at getting into a larger tank would like around 200 gal display. If I go with LEDs and keep the air on 78 to 80 can I get by without a chiller.
 
Keeping air temp that high might be pushing it .... Depends on type of pumps (return and power heads) you use, canopy, acrylic or glass tank. What fans you will be running

If sps tank I would run house temp lower or get chiller personally. If softy tank I would think they can handle warmer tanks

Your tank will always be a little warmer than ambient temp. A chiller is cheap insurance for when/if your house ac goes out. I would get one.
