Chemical Warfare??

I recently purchased 3 Ricordeas, and set them on a nice piece of live rock. I have a LOT of flow in my tank, so the little pieces of rubble they were on did not hold them down well. So last night I grab one off the sand bed and (without thinking) wedged it in a piece of rock right next to some of my SPS. At this time it was not very happy from blowing around

I wake up this morning and the SPS is bleached white! The ric was about a good 2 inches away from it, up current.

I never touched the SPS in the process.

Was this chemical warfare caused be the Ric?

could be - some rics can be very potent. But I thought they had to touch. I think the yumas are more agresive then the floridias. I had a yuma float close to my sun coral. It was there maybe for a couple hours and it killed 5 polyps.

I have some floridians near several sps, they will kill the sps where they touch but that's about it.

i would expect them to have to touch as well, i had a red brain next to a yuma for ever and one day they touched and it was all over for the brain.
