LOL, when I first saw the topic it made me think Chalice vs. Favia fighting in a dark alleyway behind a bar after a few too many tequila's.
In that case the Chalice would win. AFAIK if you want to kill most any other coral you can simply rub a chalice against it briefly and it will die!
As far as placement they like enough flow to keep stuff off them and low to medium light, bottom third of the tank. But that can vary depending on the specimen. I have a rainbow chalice in full top 1/3 light and it's growing like mad.
