cerith egg questions

TIA for your help.

I have seen cerith eggs in "spirals" or some such on the glass in peoples tanks.

Well, I have those same spots, they just aren't in any shape, pattern, etc. They are just kinda all over one corner of my glass.

They are definitely baby snails of some type, I can see their "feet" on the glass when I get close.

And I dont have any pics, I just have a camera phone and it looks like paint splotches on there.

I guess my question is, do they only lay eggs in specific patterns?
 
You'd think I would know with all of the cerith hanky panky going on in my tank...I've only seen on a couple of occassions any kind of eggs that might be from the ceriths. They used to like to lay them by the cleaning magnets...but I haven't seen any in a while. And the ones I did see weren't in the typicaly zip-zag pattern (which I have also had), but just a bunch of tiny eggs in what appeared to be a gel-like mass. So I don't know where they are laying them now, but they still are somewhere!
 
I was just curious because they look identical to the pics I've seen of cerith eggs, but not the pattern.

if yours don't always stick to patterns...I wont worry about it.
