Cbs question

[In my experience the coral bandeds I have had nip at most of my fish and at the same time he has cleaned my tang and foxface. Go figure that one out. My first cbs ended up as dinner for my large damsel during one of his growth spurts.

Coral bandeds love flatworms, bristle worms etc. Give him some frozen mysis or pieces of shrimp and he will be ok. :tear2:]

[In one book it is described as being a carwash station for Tangs, and that is why it is striped in red & white to let fish know he is open for business.

I had one for years, and it came out at night as it is nocturnal. It never hurt my fish.]

[Mine was very large and never hurt any fish. It loved to clean them. I had it a couple of years until my pistol shrimp killed it.]

[Not to hijack your thread, but Nicki you is the second person lately that I have heard mention about pistol shrimp killing off other shrimp. Is that normal? Mine seems rather docile as far as I have seen.]

[Its normal. What type do you have? My bullseye pistol is more aggressive then my tiger pistol. Both of them have killed shrimp though. I was able to keep the CBS with them a year before the bullseye killed it.

They are not a threat to fish just shrimp and crabs.]

[I have a tiger, and that would probably explain the loss of emeralds and a severely beaten up sally lightfoot. I have a skunk cleaner and he has been in there for awhile with no problems, hope he lasts. Thanks Nicki]
