Caulastrea 'Bubble'

In my 12 gallon nano I have a Caulastrea colony. One of the polyps appears to have a 'bubble' under it's tissue. It appears to be getting larger. (see pic, top polyp)
Attached is a picture. Ideas?

Just my .o2c, but I think it's simply trying to grow, and the next polyp is in the way. Do these polyps split to make more?

So, the 'bubble' has been expanding today and in effect pulling and stretching the polyp toward the surface. A minute ago I could watch no longer and gently pressed on the 'bubble'. From the polyp's mouth erupted a stream of bubbles.

I'm guessing it was O2 generated by the polyp itself. Very interesting.....
