Can Blue Powder Tang be in the same Tank as Purple Tang

Hello All,
I have a purple tang about 4 inches in length that has been in my tank for about 8 months now. Last Friday, I had recently put in a Blue Powder Tang into my tank. The Blue Powder Tang is the same size as the purple tang. Since I had put in the Blue Powder Tang, the Purple Tang would not leave the Blue Powder Tang alone. Today it seems to get better as the Purple Tang does not follow or bother the Blue Powder Tang as much. Should I take the Purple Tang out of my tank since I prefer the Blue Powder? My tank is a 240g Oceanic with about 180-200 lbs of live rocks with soft corals and 3 (250) MH.

Please advice. Thank you in advance.

Michael

If they are not killing one another they should learn to live together in that size tank. You may have to keep a watch on them though at some point one or the other may get more aggressive, but for now I would leave them alone.

Thank you for the advice. I have been keeping an eye on them most of today and it does look like the purple is less aggressive towards the blue powder tang compare when I had first put the blue powder in Friday night.

Thanks again.
Michael
