can a gbta eat a firefish?

i had 2 firefish come home today both are missing looked all over the tank and in overflow cant find them even when i feed the tank only thing i can think is the gbta or shermans eat them the gbta does look little larger on the base then usual. its just strang that both are missing i know they stay close with each other

Yep.... Frank had one eat several baby regal tangs recently. The only fish that are safe around them are clowns and even they need to adjust to them a bit.

The snuggling and rubbing clowns do is to get used to the sting, their slime coat is designed to resist the stings. Any other fish typically is at risk. As many nems as people keep and some of the size of them, I am surprised more people don't end up with missing fish though those with carpet nems report it more often.

ya i checked every where and i didnt just jump to that conclusion its just strange they are both gone. my kids said they seen both of them out but i wasnt here. so they must be hiding real good

My sherman BTA ate the cutest little royal gramma. All I saw was the tail sticking out of its mouth.

I also suspect that it recently ate a pair or chromis as well, because the fish vanished and the anemone grew bigger than I've ever seen him before - almost like he had a very large MEAL.

i still havent seen even one of them. they might be under a rock in the sand? but i wouldnt have thought they would do that they were always out in the open
