calcium reactor setup

I bought a calcium reactor from another member. When I test the Ph of the output water (just dripping into cup), it is around 7.5. The setup guide states it should be 6.3-6.5. I tried to slow the output drips down to 10 per minute, but it doesn't seem to affect the ph. Any ideas on getting the Ph to the stated range?

If the pH is too high, reduce the effluent flow rate; if the pH is too low, increase it. Allow a few hours for the reactor to respond to the changes, and repeat this step until the pH value is between 6.5 and 6.7.

got it from this article

Hope this helps

Thanks, I had read this article and had the drip at 40 / minute. The Ph was around 7.8. So I reduced it to 10 / minute and it is around the 7.5 level. I didn't really want to wait to test it at 5 / minute, but may have to try that.

Other option is to turn the bubble rate up. Leave it at 10 drops per minute and up the bubble count of C02.

Also tets the effluent. It should be ~30dkH. Once you get there your good.

It will definitely hurt my pride to take advice from an aggie :p Purdue Alum. Thanks alot, and I will try it tonight.

So did you get it dialed in....i am getting mine when i get back into town
