buying live rock in DFW

Hey. I'm starting a cycle on my new tank and looking for a good LFS in the area that might have some good deals. I need base rock. Online I can get about 25 lb from marcosrocks.com for about 65-70 bucks.

If you know of a better place or if anyone is sellin for cheap hollar at me!

Odyssea Pets has a fair amount of baserock for $1.99/lb.

Why do you want base rock? Forgive me, but I can't stand the look of that stuff.

I wouldn't go with base rock either. Buy the Fiji/Marshall/Tongan stuff. Your best bet is trying to buy the LR from an established tank. It will jump start your system greatly.

You can buy it cheap from other members in the area. If you can't afford all you need right now, just get a little at a time. You'll be glad you did vs. buying base rock.
