H hdpham Dec 10, 2013 #1 Will a 1 in bulkhead(overflow) be big enough for 75 gallon tank? I am pretty sure 1 1/4(my 33g has this) or 1/1/2 is preferred but is 1in enough? My calculations says no but I would like everyone's else viewpoint on how big of a bulkhead for overflow is sufficient for them.

J Joe Reborn Premium Member Dec 10, 2013 #3 AGA tanks come pre-drilled with a 1" drain and 3/4" return. 1" is big enough. I currently have a 75 up and running. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk

S SGT_York Dec 16, 2013 #5 It will completely depend on the amount of flow you send through the tank, tank size is not the driving force. Will it work yes, will it be silent enough probably not. If you go with a herbie then it will work just fine, but you'll need 2 holes.
