bubbles from sand bed

I have a 90 gallon reef tank that is about 5 months old. I have three clowns and a few frags. Question one is what causes the bubbles coming from my sand bed. Is this normal. Question two. I have three zoa frags and have been fighting cyno with red slime remover. I have heard that the zoas may be affected by this chemical. They stay closed or just barley open. I have a 48" 6 bulb t5 on the tank. When they we brought home they did great for a week then closed up. Any help will be nice

They're okay. From time to time though, I vacuum the sand bed just to release all the bubble. I sometime run my hand through the sand too.

Bubbles are a good sign that your sand is "live". I normally leave that stuff unless it starts to accumulate terribly. I don't like disturbing my sand bed more than the nessarius vibexes and starfish does.
