Interesting video. I've had the same Rose for 9 years. Mine has lost it's bubble-tips too....maybe it's an age thing...?

Good vid. I've had one bubble nem for two years that kept its bubbles the entire time. Had others that lost the bubbles in a matter of days after bringing it home. Cool animals for sure. I am one that agrees with propagation however. Haven't done it personally with Nems,, but my thought is the more we can propagate in this hobby the less we can possibly disturbed the reefs.

Why do you think it kept the bubbles, DetroitRodeo?

I believe it's a flow depending, I have owned a True Sherman Rose and I have propagated it myself and have made it split with stress and let it naturally split. In doing so I have had to place them in other ecosystems. I've noticed that in lower flow tanks they bubble up a bit more for me. In my sps tanks they get long and stringy. Also as a kicker in those systems lower flow I have higher nutrients.

You know Marc, I've tried to figure it out but with no luck. Can't get my finger on it. I still use LED's in the new tank and the flow is about the same. I even created a rock with the same form to put the nem on so it would feel at home. And after all that it moved and lost the bubbles anyway. I've tried picking up feedings (just to see if it results in anything). I wish I would have done better water testing on my old tank. Who know but maybe I would have noticed something different there...???

Those are dwarf Golden Moray eels. They are awesom. Brought them home from MACNA last September in my suitcase :)
