bubble tip acc

Does anyone have any tips in the introducing anemones into the tank, usually i us the drip method ,the answer Im really trying to get is ball park time for when it can be released with the smallest amount of shock, like drip for 45 min or something like 2 hours ,not sure found lots of diffrent answers on the net,but like i said ranged from 45 min to 2 hours its a large rose bubble tip

RTBAs are fairly hardy nems. As long as you do aclimate it should be fine. If drip is what you are going to do, drip for at least an hour and you should be fine.

Good luck. Is it a Sherman RTBA?

If you're drip acclimating, the rule of thumb that I use is that when you've doubled the amount of shipping water three times, you're ready.

So, drip until the amount of water is doubled, then take half the water away and discard it. Let it drip until it doubles again, discard half. Let it drip until it doubles again, and use a tupperware container or other small bowl to scoop the anemone out with minimal shipping water and place in tank.

The drip rate is important- fast enough that the shipping water doesn't drop in temperature too much, but not so fast that you shock the anemone.

thanks, very helpfull, Im not sure if its a sherman ,I think its just a regular joe rtba .I like to find out what the sherman looks like though if you have any sites with info?

Sherman is the name given to the RTBA clones that originated from BigSteve's tank in Sherman, Tx. His RTBA clones have a very beautiful deep rose color that are well sought after. They are extremely hardy and have a tendancy to split often. Mine has split 3 times in one year. Here is a link to a thread of the last clone I sold to Donna in Plano:

Even if yours is not a Sherman RTBA they are still beautiful creatures.
Enjoy and good luck.
