Bubble Counter

I recently purchased a used Precision Marine CR422 Calcium Reactor. I tested it out just with RO water. It seems like the bubble counter is leaking.

Will any bubble counter that the various online vendors sell work or are there differences that I need to pay attention to.

Any recommendations would also be helpfull.

Thanks

i made a bubble counter out of a gatorade bottle. holds perfect. just drill 3/16" holes in the lid (2 of them). fill 1/2-3/4 with water, push the input tubing all the way down to the bottom, and have the output above the water line.

plus, you get a nice refreshing drink out of it before you set it up.

edit>> this will only work with your situation if there is a way to bypass the area where the leak is on the calcium reactor. is the bubble counter attached to the reactor like Schuran's model is?

Cliff,

It is the bubble counter that is leaking and it is not attached to the reactor. The counter that came with the reactor is made of glass with brass caps at the top and bottom of the counter. It looks like the brass has corroded some and it is hard to screw them tight enough to prevent them from leaking.
