Lower plumbing is complete. I have a few people telling me to run one of the 3/4" pipes as a full siphon drain with the 1" as a backup saying that it will be better in the long run. Being that EVERYTHING is already glued in place, would it be that much of an overall improvement to tear everything back out ??

It would be your preference. I use a durso drain. I occasionally have some noise. I don't have the third hole drilled in my tank for the herbie method. Although it sounds like it may be quieter. Here is an article on the herbie method.

First tank had a bad seal on the bottom, SO

New tank is in , and all plumbed up.

NO LEAKS !!!!

This weekend I was able to get the Apex jr installed along with the extra EB8, Apex auto feeder, and finally got the unit online with Fusion which I am super excited about. The cable management is still in the works, and the light will be in the finishing stages this week, so it wont be long until this thing is wet.

Sorry I haven't seen this thread before! Which drain did you end up going with and how do you like your choice so far?

this thing has moved at a snails pace to be honest. I had an explosion of bubble algae, which is starting to be eliminated. I have has a few SPS losses due to a lack of nutrients. So I have just left it on cruise control, lettting it mature just a bit in the hopes of preventing anymore losses.

Few pics of some of the coral hanging out for now waiting to be placed

I ended up with the Durso. So far it has been really quiet, and I am happy with my decision. I am running the jebao dc6000 as a return, and it can handle everything that the pump puts out, no matter how high I run it, so no complaints.

Updates? Just got a 65rimless and wondering how the hybrid is working out for you?
